It offers a rich red to pink colour, perfect for enhancing the visual appeal of food products. It is commonly used in beverages, sauces, snacks and pharmaceutical products to achieve vibrant red hues but also offers antioxidant benefits, adding functional value to the products it is used in. Lycotene is sold as a powder, emulsion, oil suspension and tablet grade powder, available in various concentrations.
